About the Author:

Nikol Hasler is a producer, writer, and project manager, as well as the host and writer of the successful web series The Midwest Teen Sex Show. She currently lives in Los Angeles and works in public television. Her writing has appeared in Alternative Press, Glamour, RHRealityCheck.org, and The Onion's A.V. Club, Chicago. She has given talks and facilitated workshops about sex education at high schools and colleges, and via online forums. She is an avid pickler and chef, and the mother of three sons.

Though Hasler's deadpan style plays better on the show than on the page, there are plentiful flashes of humor, and the simple cartoon-style graphics aid in both a comedic and an informational sense. While a lot of the content is not new, the highlight is the Q&A at the end of each chapter, which includes such timely gems as a warning about the possible legal and emotional repercussions of digitally sending or even printing out naked pictures to give to others.
