Even after Papa told him he shouldn't leave, Sammy chose to follow Monty Mercedes out into the fast lane. His new best friend not only changed his name, but took everything he had. When all he had was taken from him, Sammy was left beside the road, empty and forsaken. When he found himself in the junk yard, he started to believe he was nothing but junk and would never feel shiny and good again. Then he thought of the workers on Papa's farm. About the Author:
Sadie Tellez is not new to writing. Through the years she has written numerous stories, skits, plays and tributes. She has been married to George for 42 years and has two children, Sabrina and Timothy. Her grandchildren, Christian and Abigail call her Grandy. Sadie has worked with children and youth for most of her adult life. Currently she and George attend and serve at Covenant International Worship Center in Cedar Hill, Texas, where their son-in-law, Brian Holmes, pastors.
