About the Author:
Collin Moshman graduated from the California Institute of Technology in 2003 with an honors degree in theoretical mathematics. After depositing $50 onto an online poker site, he studied the game extensively, soon turning professional through his mathematical background. Collin wrote strategy books on the first two game types he specialized in, Sit-n-Go Strategy and Heads-Up No-Limit Holdem, both of which became instant poker bestsellers. He produces videos for Cardrunners and heads Team Moshman, an international team of staked and coached players. Collin has personally coached hundreds of students into beating their games through his mathematical-based approach to hold em, and spends much of his time playing many different poker variations. Douglas Zare earned a Ph. D. in theoretical mathematics from the California Institute of Technology in 1999, and taught mathematics at Columbia University. Douglas played backgammon competitively before starting poker and writes a column on backgammon theory for GammonVillage. He mainly plays cash games, but also enjoys tournaments, and wrote the program ICM Explorer for studying decisions at the final table. Douglas makes videos for PokerStrategy and coaches several professional SNG players. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
