MOMENTUM Not long ago I heard a merchandising expert explain wherein the marketing of a new product is like the operation of a heavy railroad train--probably a freight is the best example. The idea seems to be that it takes terrific power to get the thing started--the engine snorts and struggles and you doubt whether the train will move-Finally it starts and begins to gather momentum which increases mile after mile until seemingly nothing can stop it. It made me think of Kora-Konia--how it took months of heavy advertising, with doctors and nurses recommending it and Aunt Belle in her wonderful Baby Book endorsing it before KORA-KONIA started to move. Now it's gathering momentum. Everyone seems to know of its remarkable healing qualities--particularly for an infant's skin that is tortured with chafing and other baby irritations. People are asking for it by name-And I notice that druggists are shoving it forward in the show case and frequently putting it in the window.
