FIRST EDITION, LIMITED EDITION, HARDCOVER, FINE/FINE, VIRTUALLY AS NEW, excepting some very light scuffing on plexiglass case. THIS COPY IS #93 of a scant 170 numbered copies. SIGNED by Smiley and the illustrator Susan Nees. Throughout the story there are Six original linoleum cuts, hand colored by the artist. Illustrated with six hand-colored linoleum cuts by Susan Nees. Binding and plexiglass case designed by Jill Jevne. Oblong quarto. [40]pp. Blindstamped black cloth in a paper-backed plexiglass "dust jacket" with a ribbon closure for tying it all together. Book is string-bound in black cloth boards. Pages sewn concertina style with red Moriki endsheets and bound in black cloth over boards. The six hand colored linoleum cuts are also as new, as is all text. From the limitation page: 'Handset in Jan van Krimpen's Romulus type with Michelangelo display. Printed on dampened Johanna, a 75% rag, 25% esparto grass paper, made in France. Designed by Allan Kornblum and printed on a Vandercook 219 by Julia Druskin and Jill Mackenzie at Coffee House Press.
