In the hills near Benyavoelgz, south of Labotczrey, on March 28 and 30, numerically stronger Russian attacks were repulsed by regiments of the Fourth Cavalry Division and troops of the First Landsturm Infantry Brigade. North of the Uzsok Pass, in the Carpathians, Russian night attacks failed and over 2,000 Russians were made prisoners.
