In the Introduction some account is given of the author and of his literary work, and a short summary of the Corgfessz'o Amantz's is added. The account of the language and metre is founded upon that which is given in the larger edition, but with much abridgement. The Notes of this book, on the other hand, are considerably more extensive than those of the complete edition, being intended for younger students. The Glossary, it is hoped, will supply all that is necessary in addition for the full understanding of the text.
