Otros muchos escribieron diferentes piezas sueltas en el idioma peruano, y debe tenerse presente que desde el 8 de Mayo de 1584 mandó el Rey (y lo confirmó en la la ley 3, título 4, libro 1 de Indias) que cuando se hiciese algún arte 6 vocabulario, no se publicase, ni imprimiese, ni se usase de él, si no estuviere primero examinado por el Ordinario y visto por la Audiencia del distrito. El primer ºbispo de Lima fray Gerónimo de l oayza dotó una cátedra de lengua quichua para doctrinar a los indios.
