About the Author:

Joyce Mitchell, RN, MSN, MBA has a Master of Science Degree in Nursing,MSN, from the University of California, San Francisco and a Master in Business Administration Degree, MBA, from the University of Santa Clara. The combination of the two degrees provides a framework for understanding and functioning within the rapidly evolving world of health care today. Joyce has 29 years of experience in health care, including education, management, and curriculum consultation. Besides many years in classroom and clinical teaching, she has developed and implemented unique and innovative health care programs at both the vocational and associate degree levels. Joyce has written and/or served as content expert on numerous health care instructional projects for Delmar Learning.
