Ariana Mrak is assistant professor of Spanish specializing in the Spanish of the U.S. She has presented papers and published articles on theoretical and pedagogical issues related to Spanish speakers in the U.S. She has been teaching courses for heritage learners since 1997 including the two semester sequence for which this textbook is designed.

Edwin Padilla is assistant professor of Spanish specializing in U.S. Hispanic literature. He has presented papers, published articles and edited books on the subject. He has been teaching courses for heritage learners since 1992 including the two semester sequence for which this textbook is designed.
