About the Author:

Andi Vonlanthen, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Research &Development at Unitron Hearing, a global manufacturer of hearing instruments and associated technologies located in Kitchener, Canada. In this role, he has overall responsibility for technology research and product development. Prior to this, Andi worked in Research & Development at Phonak Hearing Systems in Stafa, Switzerland for 18 years. Andi has been responsible for many innovations in the hearing instrument industry - including the first multi microphone system used in hearing instruments. Andi is a recognized authority in the field of hearing instrument technology, and since 1989 has been lecturing acousticians worldwide on the science and technology of hearing instrument systems.
