Dan Perkins, a recently-retired school administrator receives an invitation to attend a 45th reunion of his High School class in Sandy Hill, NY. Having vowed never to return to the village again, Dan finds himself torn, and eventually decides to attend. The rusting village has changed a lot over 45 years, and so has Dan. As he wanders the community on the day of his reunion, various landmarks stimulate memories of events which had been a sometimes painful part of his childhood and adolescence. Reunited with old buddies, his first love, and friends who had become strangers, Dan finds new meaning in his past which establishes a new foundation for his future. Author lives in Skaneateles, NY.
