In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, a plethora of photographic journals, eye witness accounts and analyses was released. However, no one looked at the dark Bin Laden energy that is present in society and in us all. In Tracking The Predator: The Aftermath of September 11, 2001: A Canadian Woman Speaks, Sandra C. Johnston delves behind and uncovers this energy--a dark energy that none of us wants to acknowledge. This Canadian psychotherapist's view of this inevitable "wake - up call" is powerful and provocative and her use of prose and poetry makes for compelling reading. It is an enlightening, and somewhat frightening, insight into the dark side of man and womankind.

From the Author:
As a culture, we are in a mythic time and place. This is truly a time of "liminality' - of passage from one stage of living to another. When we venture psychologically out beyond the "known world'. we are heeding a call to live more authentically. The movement into unfamiliar terrain will always cause conflict and uncertainty but it is the pain that can only lead to more conscious evolution and responsible living on both the personal and collective level. With the disaster of September 11th, 2001 the time of the passing of a threshold is at hand. The question is, who is courageous enough to heed the call and has the right "stuff" one is made of, the soul, to meet the challenges and losses on the journey. This is never for the faint of heart. It takes integrity to step through and go beyond the known world. Will you step through with me as I take you on a journey to discover your wisdom and truth or will you hide your eyes with shame and continue to rataionalize the lies of hand-me-down thoughts and value systems that do not always have our best interests at heart? What will you allow to die in order to bring new life? I ask you...
