Dada J. P. Vaswani was born on August 2, 1918, at Hyderabad-Sind, in a pious Sindhi family. He was a brilliant student, and so was given a number of double promotions which enabled him to pass the B.S. examination at young age of 17 years.
Scientist and philosopher, humanitarian and teacher eminent practicalist and modern day Saint, Dada J. P. Vaswani is, indeed, a man in a million or a ""smile - millionaire"" as admirers refer to him.
Thousands of devotees all over the world refer to him as their guru; but he regards himself as a seeker, a student; ""The day I have not learnt something new, is indeed a wasted day!"" he observes.

Dada J. P. Vaswani's life reflects the richness and multifaceted nature of his personality. After a brilliant academic career, he won a prestigious Fellowship to complete his M. Sc. degree from the D. J. Sind College, Karachi. He had the distinction of having his thesis examined by Sir C. V. Raman. His academic excellence stood him in good stead, as he carved out a distinguished career much later, as Principal of St. Mira's College for Girls - this, no ordinary academic institution, but a temple of learning founded upon the lofty ideals of sympathy, service, purity and prayer. An education that sought to integrate intellect, emotion and spirit.
Dada has been the editor of several periodicals notable among them being The Excelsior, The India Digest and The East and West Series. Today, he is a highly respected and gifted writer of over 100 books some of them have been translated into several world languages, and run into multiple editions.
He is a brilliant and powerful orator, who has addressed several distinguished international audiences from prestigious platforms such as the World Parliament of Religions, Global Forum for Spiritual Leaders and Parliamentarians, World Hindu Conferences, and Conferences on World Religions. Wherever he speaks - be it at the U. N. or the House of Commons, London, at Chicago, Oxford or Kyoto, Dada J. P. In April, 1998, Dada was given the prestigious U-Thant Peace Award for his dedicated service to the cause of world peace.
