Review:
'Cheryl and Mary have filled a void in the coaching literature: 'What does a teacher do with a coach?' The availability of an instructional coach is a resource often being overlooked by many classroom teachers. Most teacher preparation programs and new teacher orientation as well as staff development models miss preparing teachers for working with a coach. School administrators, mentors, coaches, and staff developers will want to share this book with their teachers.' --Steve Barkley, author of Quality Teaching in a Culture of Coaching
'I can't recall a time when educators have needed each other so much to collaborate, reflect, support, and challenge each other in the service of those who matter most-the extraordinary kids we teach. Instructional Coaches and Classroom Teachers: Sharing the Road to Success is just what the doctor ordered, an elixir that slides down easily, filling us with an amazing array of ideas and strategies for communication and professional development. Packed with classroom stories of real kids, real teachers, and real coaches doing real work, the authors' wise words and thoughtful nudges inspire us to learn with our kids and each other every day. A must-read for all teachers who strive to be the best they can be!' --Stephanie Harvey, coauthor of Strategies That Work
