About the Author:
I was born in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1960 I married my high school sweetheart. In 1962 with two baby boys and all we owned in a 1953 Buick, we relocated to Southern California where we added one more to our family, a girl. We were typical California parents busy raising a family and attending all our children's activities. Through this time, I wrote short stories, which I did not publish, and I kept a notebook of what was going on around me. One day the children were grown and raising their own families. My husband told me that he was retiring. "Great! I'm retiring with you", was my response. My husband asked me to write a book about his father's life. I looked at him; he looked at me and I sat down at the computer. I had thoughts, stories, and ideas in my notebook, but could I write a whole book? Once started, I now find that I have a new love; writing. I am already working on my second book, so look for me on the bookshelves!
