About the Author:

Ted C. Bleckstein, DDS, MS is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois; having received both his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Certification with Master of Science degree in the dental specialty of Periodontics. Dr. Bleckstein has over 21 years of clinical practice experience in dentistry with active dental licenses in Michigan, Connecticut and New York. Dr. Bleckstein is a leader in dental education with a distinguished history of successfully addressing the clinical needs of hundreds of general dentists throughout the USA and Western Europe. He has served as a member of the Northwestern University Dental School's faculty and as the Director and Featured Speaker for Northwestern University's Advanced Periodontal Programs designed for the general dentist. Dr. Bleckstein's clinical work in periodontal surgery has been filmed by Northwestern University Memorial Hospital and produced in DVD format for use in teaching basic to advanced periodontal procedures to licensed dental professionals. In addition to his professional contributions to university programs providing advanced dental education, Dr. Bleckstein has conducted research studies in bone regeneration at the American Dental Association's research facilities in Chicago, acted as professional consultant and clinical investigator for numerous dental and periodontal research projects funded by national and international corporations and held appointment as an 'Expert Witness' for the Chicago Board of Education, City of Chicago.
