About the Author:
Fred Naef is the author of the genealogical adventure Pamunkey Bones. He has published four other novels under the pseudonym Jörg Alder. Fred was hard at work on the sequel to Pamunkey Bones, Bailton, when he passed away on January 6, 2013. Bailton will be finished by his family. (And we have to say...it's a great story!)
Fred was a renaissance man who enjoyed creating gourmet desserts and drinking fine wine. One of his greatest passions was encouraging his grandchildren (and adult children) to follow their interests. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Class of '59), Fred became a submariner, and later started a salmon farm in Washington State. He managed ships for Mobil Oil, and worked for many years for Lockheed-Martin. Writing and conducting genealogical research were two of Fred's passions after he retired.
