About the Author:
Flora Goldberg nace en París Francia, debido a la persecución nazi, en 1942 su familia tuvo que emigrar a México, donde radica hasta la fecha. Posteriormente Flora y su familia se establecieron en la ciudad de México. Empieza sus estudios universitarios pero en 1955 decide dejar la universidad y dedicarse a las artes plásticas. Inicia sus estudios en artes plásticas con Diego Rivera donde permanece hasta la muerte del maestro en 1957. Ingresa a la escuela de Pintura y Escultura de Bellas Artes donde toma clases con; Fernando Castro Pacheco, Feliciano Peña, Santos Balmori, Carlos Estrada, Benito Messenguer, entre otros. En 1973 decide aprender grabado por lo que entra al Talles de los Aprendices en el Molino de Santo Domingo (primer molino de trigo en América) siendo el maestro Octavio Bajonero; allí mismo tomó un curso con el reconocido grabados Argentino Mauricio Lasansky. A la muerte del dueño del Molino de Santo Domingo José Angel Ceniceros quién había sido Secretario de Educación, su heredera decide no seguir con el giro que le había dado su dueño desalojando a todos los artistas que tenían su estudio allí. Entonces Flora translada su taller a Echegaray donde sigue trabajando, en grabado, dibujo y oleo. En 1995 decide incursionar en la talla en madera, dando como resultado este BOSQUE HUMANO.
