A career opportunity for Gary took them back to Ontario where Jan was able to stay home with a young family. After spending several years in Ontario, where Jessie’s Way was written, she was glad to come home in 2002 to be closer to family, make a home and grow some roots. She celebrated a happy reunion with her birth family in 2004 and continues to enjoy her family in the Valley. She is currently living on the South Shore watching her two children getting ready to leave the nest and working for South Shore Health doing Community Support for people recovering from serious mental illness. In 2011 Write as Rain, Inc. was born to primarily encourage the improvement of mental health through creative practices, this includes the development of Guerrilla Gardening: Landscaping for the Soul, a group program for schools or mental health programs. Jan enjoys yoga, gardening and other spiritual ventures but writing has always been there, waiting in the wings, waiting for the curtain to go up. Let the show go on.
