About the Author:

Dr. Kristina Brode has spent decades developing innovative ways to motivate cancer patients to couple medical therapy with an inner attitude that supports healing. Her work culminated in 1984 in the founding of the Circadian Institute for Applied Psychosynthesis, a non-profit organization. The institute is dedicated to the development of salutogenic, psychoeducative programs, including Systemic Cancer Aftercare (SYSPEP ®). Dr. Brode’s years of in-depth research and practical experience have made her a widely recognized expert in her field in the German-speaking countries. Her “Phases of Coping” model has been incorporated in the international literature, for example by Carl O. Simonton.
