Wow!  I don't usuallycare for war stories, but this book is magnificent... Parts of it broughttears to my eyes and the final chapter had me mopping my eyes.  Is it interestinglywritten?  Absolutely.  There were flashbacks to WWII action on Iwo Jima, war inVietnam and present time in Afghanistan that helped give the story context anda flow from WWII to the present.  There were ghosts, but believable ghosts.
