Excerpt from Early American Furniture: Including Many Collectors' Pieces of Rich Veneer and With Inlay, Highboys, Secretaries, Chests of Drawers, Daybeds and Various Types of Tables Desks, Lowboys, Sideboards, Chippendale, Hepplewhite, Queen Anne Windsor and Other Chairs

The owner has been fortunate in securing a splendid group of Queen Anne and Chippendale mirrors, in walnut and mahogany with carved and gilded decoration. The balance of the furniture consists of three pedestal dining tables, in mahogany and of the popular Duncan Phyfe type, inlaid card tables, sewing and tripod tables. Mention is made of the following examples that will make a special appeal because of their rarity, - a Queen Anne walnut tea table with oblong tray top and Dutch feet, and a block-front card table attributed to a cabinetmaker of Newport, R. I.

Each session of the sale begins with early American glass in varied colors and ends with a number of hand-woven linen and wool, and white candlewick American coverlets of the last century.
