Para realizar este libro, el autor ha procurado utilizar las propuestas de estudio histórico actualmente más novedosas y conocidas solo por los académicos.

About the Author:
David Alonso GarcIa has a degree in history and a PhD in geography and history from the University Complutense of Madrid, where received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award and where he currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Modern History. Additionally he has done research work at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, la UniversitA di Roma "La Sapienza", and The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2003 he received the Villa de Madrid prize for municipal research for his work, Gabellae Concertatae: Madrid y la hacienda real de Castilla en tiempos de Carlos V. Currently he is involved in different research projects dealing with the Habsburg Spain historical period and that are financed by the European Science Foundation and the Community of Madrid.
