About the Author:

Alfredo Thumala Jaar is a Chilean physician, Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile. Over the last forty years, and parallel to his professional activities, he has studied the Israeli- Palestinian conflict and has crusaded for the achievement of friendly interrelations between both peoples. He is co-founder of a Pro Peace Israel- Palestine Group; co- authored of a public statement signed by five hundred Chilean Jews and Chilean of Palestinian descent. He has written EL CONFLICTO PALESTINO ISRAELI. UN CAMINO HACIA LA PAZ, published in Chile in 2008 and in Argentina in 2011. PALESTINE BURNING is an updated and expanded English edition of that book.
