About the Author:

Anahita Kashmirian was born in the heydays of Iran. Her idyllic environment came abruptly to an end after the Iranian revolution, when her parents left for Europe. Traumatised by sudden exile, Kashmirian took refuge in writing, and created imaginary landscapes which she associated with India. Her precocious Indophilia led her to study the Indian Subcontinent at McGill University and travel to India whilst undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge.
