Mahmoud A. Ghannoum is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University and Uni-versity Hospitals Case Medical Center and Director of the Center for Medical Mycology. Dr. Ghannoum s investigations include the biology, pathogenesis, and resistance of clinically important fungi Candida, Aspergillus, and Cryptococcus, and his work has recently focused on the oral microbiome, fungal species, and human disease.
