About the Author:
Robert Elmer is a graduate of St. Mary's College and Simpson College in San Francisco. Currently a writer for an advertising agency, Robert and his wife, Ronda, have three children and make their home in Washington State.
From School Library Journal:
Grade 5-7-Although his father has been cleared of the criminal charges that caused them to come to Australia, the McWaid family can not afford the passage back to Ireland and 13-year-old Patrick feels that he will never call this land home. The boy and his sister are outraged when two Aborigines are unjustly arrested for stealing horses. As tensions mount, the siblings attempt to find the real culprits and hope to bring the community together through a cricket match. Religious thoughts and Biblical references are sprinkled throughout the story, but are slight and do not intrude on the plot. While this fourth book in the series, set in 1868, continues to develop the family's history, it lacks depth and intrigue and will not appeal to many readers.
