About the Author:

Mikel A. Rothenberg, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine specialist with a special interest in critical care and emergency medicine. He has served as an ICU/CCU director as well as physician advisor for both air and ground ambulance services. Dr. Rothenberg has written several medical and legal books, numerous journals articles, and an ACLS computer software program. He served as the executive editor of ACLS Alert, and currently writes an advanced cardiac life support column on the internet (Merginet). Dr. Rothenberg’s forte is putting complex topics into "plain English." This skill, combined with over 25 years of medical practice and 15 years of medicolegal consultation, makes his teaching both informative and enjoyable for a wide variety of audiences.
