About the Author:
James Grayson Trulove is a publisher, editor, and author in the fields of landscape architecture, art, graphic design, and architecture. He has served as editor-in-chief of Landscape Architecture, Graphis, and Garden Design magazines. He was publisher and co-founder of Spacemaker Press, an imprint specializing in books on landscape art and architecture. Recent books by Trulove include The New American Cottage; Big Ideas for Small Spaces: Studio Apartments; The New American Garden; Ten Landscapes: Raymond Jungles; Ten Landscapes: Shunmyo Masuno; and Big Ideas for Small Spaces: Pocket Gardens.

Trulove received degrees from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; The American University; and John Hopkins University. He is a recipient of the Loeb Fellowship from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. He resides in Washington, D.C., and New York.
