About the Author:

Wilbur D. Jones, Jr. is a retired Navy Reserve captain and military historian. He is also the author of Gyrene: The World War II United States Marine and Giants in the Cornfield. He is the co-author of Condemned to Live and Forget That You Have Been Hitler Soldiers.

Carroll Robbins Jones was eight years old when Pearl Harbor was attacked. She and her six year old brother remained in Honolulu with their photographer mother for nine months afer that time. Today, Carroll is a research analyst at the Randall Library of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
