His major works include The Nixon Kissinger Years: The Reshaping of American Foreign Policy; The Carter Years: Toward a New Global Order; The GFalklands Sting: Reagan, Thatcher, and Argentina's Bomb; and China: A Political History, 1917-1980. He lives in Arlington, Virginia.
