About the Author:

John M. Taylor graduated from Williams College in 1952 with honors in history, and subsequently earned a master's degree in history from George Washington University. From 1952 until 1987 he was employed by the U.S. government in agencies concerned with intelligence and foreign affairs. Mr. Taylor is the author of eight books of history and biography. He livesin McLean, Virginia.
