'Read this book and capture the heart of a man who, with his family, walked (and at times ran) through the crucible of pain, perplexity, and fatigue.' - Phil Parshall.

Jim McKinley shares stories of how a family of seven lived with Muslims for 34 years. Travel with the McKinley family and hear the stories of joy, danger, and challenge in their witness to Muslim friends.

This account of his thirty-four year ministry in East Pakistan/Bangladesh bears witness that he and his wife Betty have been unwaivering and undaunted in carrying out that which they believe to be God's purpose for them.

About the Author:
Jim McKinley's life has carried him from the foothills of Appalachia in Clinton County, Kentucky. After college he attended Southern Baptist Seminary where he began his training to become a missionary.

Jim and his wife, Betty, along with their firstborn, Cherie, traveled 42 days on a cargo ship to reach East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). As a mostly Muslim area, East Pakistan offered the McKinley's 34 years of relationship building and a Christian witness- along with four other children born to them in Asia.

Now retired, Jim and Betty live in Lousiville, Kentucky and are active with their local churches and other Southern Baptist groups.

Review:
Since September 11, 2001, we are daily reminded of the threat of radical Islam and jihad. Jim, however, reminds us that all Muslims are not alike. Through the years, as some Muslims physically threatened this family of seven, others strongly protected them. --Dr. Micheal B Carter, President Campbellsville University

In the last section or Afterword, Betty and Jim have shown how Christians and Muslims must learn to live together. This book shows us how they lived out a path of peace and they have shown us how to walk in that path. --Tom Thurman, Missionary colleague

The McKinleys are loved and respected by Muslims who hold the highest positions in government and by those who sweep the streets of Bangladesh. --James Young, Missionary colleague
