About the Author:

Paula J. Egner is a writer and speaker who strives to incorporate her personal mission statement, "To bring joy and hope to others through the written and spoken word," into her written works, as well as into her professional speaking business, Aptly Spoken Enterprises. In 2002, she forfeited her fifteen-year career in Materials Management to pursue this mission.

Paula also hopes to promote Christian values, especially in story themes that wouldn't normally be considered spiritual. The foundational scripture for her writing and speaking career is Proverbs 25:11: "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver."

She and her husband, Allen, enjoy taking long walks and playing twosome Scrabble tournaments. They're empty-nesters, except for their two dogs, Penny and Lucy.
