About the Author:

Michel Bettigole, O.S.F., is a Franciscan Brother of Brooklyn who served as a high school administrator for more than twenty-five years. In 2006 he received the National Catholic Education Association Lifetime Achievement Award. From 1988 to 1994 he was the program director for the Prayer Channel, the television station of the Diocese of Brooklyn, where he produced several television series dealing with religion, literature, and philosophy. He is coeditor or editor of three Catholic literature anthologies. He has appeared on EWTN, Telicare, and Fox News.

James D. Childs holds bachelor's and master's degrees in theology from the University of Notre Dame. He was coeditor of Great Catholic Writings: Thought, Literature, Spirituality, Social Action. He is married with three children and is principal of Mission College Preparatory School, San Luis Obispo, California.
