About the Author:

Eilis Ni Dhuibhne was born in Dublin in 1954 and is a graduate of University College, Dublin where she studied Old and Modern English and Irish Folklore. She was awarded a PhD in 1982 and is the author of many articles on folklore topics and also a well-known writer of fiction and drama. She works as an Assistant Keeper in the National Library of Ireland.
