About the Author:
Alan Palmer has a BA in political science from Northern Illinois University. He has served in various local commissions, culminating in the office of mayor of South Beloit, Illinois. Currently he runs his own business, American Prairie, and has gained further experience in dealing with the business community and state and federal politicians. His previous work has been published in the Illinois Municipal Review. He is in the idea stage of a second book, which he hopes to co-author with a congressman.
