Poor Emmet Suckerfield, author wannabe. Not only has he just been dumped by his wife and conned into buying a $28 broom by Emira Spain, an attractive, fast-talking saleswoman, but he can't come up with a single interesting idea to write about. Then his life turns around: ideas flow; his wife wants to come back to him. His novel, Space Sex, is published. The plot thickens when Emmet gets a visit from two space aliens who happen to be characters in his book and need his help in tracking down Venus, the beauteous sex researcher and heroine of Emmet's novel. It's hard to imagine the audience for this tedious, poorly written novel, which is filled with sophomoric humor, sniggering references to penis and breast size, and the joy of sex with aliens. By the author of The Devil's Drainpipe (Synapse-Centurion, 1993). Not recommended.
