About the Author:
Bob Burke has written more historical non-fiction books than anyone else in history. His 104 books are all about Oklahoma. Born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, he was director of a large state agency in the administration of Governor David Boren and managed Boren's first campaign for the U.S. Senate in 1978. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication and the Oklahoma City University School of Law, Burke is a member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma Historians Hall of Fame. Burke is the father of Robert, Amy, and Cody, stepfather of Natalie, Lauren, and Calli, and grandfather of Nathan, Jon, Ridge, Fallon, and Greyson. He and his wife, Chimene, live in Oklahoma City where he practices law and writes books. Eric Dabney, born and raised in Oklahoma, received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma where he now serves as an adjunct professor in the College of Education. He is series editor for Commonwealth Publishing, a contributing writer/photographer for numerous publications including Historic Cheyenne, Historic Oklahoma, Historic Tulsa, and Historic Edmond, and is the co-author of Historic South Carolina, Willie of the Valley: The Life of Bill Paul, Historic Rogers County, and the children s biography, Fearless Flight: The Amazing Adventures of Wiley Post. Eric and his wife Shelley have three daughters, Emily, Claire, and Julie, and live near Guthrie.
