About the Author:

Douglas Steakley lives and photographs on the Monterey Peninsula. Steakley originally received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University in jewelry design. Several years ago he he turned his attention to photography for which he has received awards in local and international compeitions. His images have appeared in national publications, calendars, post cards and greeting cards. His exhibition prints are represented in several galleries and in numerous private collections. Pacific Light is Steakley's first book of photography.
