Bob Morgan's response was, "Name a subject, and I'll spin a tale for you." His sons loved his Uncle Remus-stype tales, and his wife, Sam, kept after him to someday write those stories down. Lucky for everyone, Bob did as Sam asked.

About the Author:
Robert A. "Bob" Morgan was born in Federal Point, Florida, a small community located on the Saint Johns River, between Palatka and Hastings. His family moved to Hastings, a farming town, when he was only a few years old, and Bob spent all his school years there, graduating from the Hastings High School in 1961. Bob Morgan is proud to say that he still has numerous friends in the Hastings area.

Bob entered the world of agriculture soon after graduating from high school, and has been involved with farming interests in both Florida and Ohio. He enjoyed the world of agriculture for some forty years.

Mr. Morgan was never without companionship, coming from a family of eighteen siblings, most of whom remained in Florida, with a few spreading out into Georgia, Virginia, and California. Bob remains very close to all of his brothers and sisters. Mr. Morgan is married, with wonderful children and grandchildren. His family remains the light of his life.

When his own sons were very young, they would ask him to read them bedtime stories; Bob would ask them to name a subject. He would then proceed to make up personalized stories for them, based on their selected subject...how his own kids loved those stories. Over the years, Bob’s wife, Sam, would ask "why don’t you write some of those stories down?"

Well, lucky for us all, when Sam talks, Bob listens. Bob’s children’s bedtime stories are featured weekly in four local newspapers, where they are immensely popular. It seems that advertising revenues have increased due to Bob’s weekly columns, with local businessmen competing to have their ads appear on the same page as the bedtime stories. Bob’s homespun style has folks thinking of him as the modern-day Uncle Remus. An effort is now underway to syndicate these remarkable stories into newspapers throughout the United States and Canada.

This wonderful book, Bob Tales, is the first of what we trust will be a series of Bob Morgan’s children’s bedtime stories.

Bob Morgan hopes that you will enjoy reading these first fifty tales, and that your children and grandkids will enjoy hearing them.
