Caleb Wall advises companies on ways to enhance their social and environmental performance through improved management and engagement with the public. In his work Caleb works with management, staff and external stakeholders to create solutions to difficult problems and to find win win outcomes.
These experiences have shown that the private sector working in partnership with governments, NGOs and local communities can make a solid contribution to community development, while making an equally solid contribution to long-term profitability.
Implementing the principle of creating value for shareholders, as well as for society, has seen Caleb work with a diverse range of companies, including: gold mines in Siberia, small business start-ups in Mongolia, agricultural producers in Tajikistan, and multinational corporations some of which are featured in Buried Treasure .
Caleb s background includes work with the UN in Uzbekistan, as a policy advisor to the UN Environment Programme, as well as with the New Zealand government in Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tonga and Vanuatu. He holds a PhD in Development Sociology, a Master of Arts in International Development and a Bachelor s degree in Political Science and Feminist Studies. When not travelling for work, he lives in Umbria, Italy.
