Jonathan welcomes opportunities to speak to local church or community organizations. * Jerry Seiden, M.A. is a pastor, pastoral counselor, and publisher, but he is also much in demand as a writer, editor, ghostwriter, and inspirational speaker. After 20 years as a pastor in traditional congregations, Jerry founded Spirit of Hope Christian Fellowship. It is a special ministry for those who are "allergic to religion" and uncomfortable in church. It is also for those who struggle to fit into traditional congregations because of problems with addictive behaviors, ADD/adhd, Tourette syndrome, bi-polar disorder, learning disabilities, wounded/damaged emotions, or other related needs. Spirit of Hope is a safe place to find spiritual, shame-free support in a Christian, recovery friendly environment. Although Jerry has written and developed more than 60 published titles related to recovery and spirituality, most of that work has been behind the scenes as a contract writer (ghostwriter). Today Jerry is most frequently asked to speak on spirituality as a healing resource. He teaches an easy-to-use method for mood management that he uses to stay emotionally sober and spiritually connected in the midst of life s craziness. ADDChurch is Jerry's online org source for more information about his ministry including links to 2 popular podcasts that he and Dennis (a ministry associate) host: the podcasts are TheADDRealityShow and ADDChurch.
Review:
This new guide by Seiden and Halverstadt will be unsurpassed for Christian counselors, physicians, therapists, lay counselors, and for patients. It is truly a masterpiece in accurate medical understanding and for the Master s loving touch felt on each page. I sensed the Lord Himself work by His Spirit through their hearts and pens. This book is an effective tool to educate and equip the local church and individual Christians. It imparts the safety, support, structure, and spirituality that is required to redeem and heal the broken within our communities. Jerry and Jonathan address the needs of those with ADD, but the insights of this book transcend any specific disorder or disability. They speak to the issue of Truth and the freedom that the Truth imparts. What a double-barreled and precious gift God has given the authors to spread the Lord s truth of heart, spirit, and soul by this new book. The important and spiritual verities that Jerry and Jonathan share are given with authority and authenticity. These men have earned the right to impart this message to others. They have lived and experienced the truth they speak. Their lives and this book are a powerful message of hope to all who read or hear their words. And to the pastors, healers, and counselors who read the book, it will be seen as a gift and kept as guide. I have recommended this book to countless patients, friends, and fellow professionals. I offer it to pastors who struggle with the stress of ministry, marriage, everyday life, or even ADD. I am honored to call Jerry and Jonathan my brothers in Christ and my friends.
