About the Author:

Lisa Dorfman, MS, RD, CSSD, LMHC, is Director of Sports Nutrition and Performance in the Department of Sports Medicine and an adjunct professor at the University of Miami. A health expert for more than two decades & Nutrition Editor for SoBeFit Magazine, Lisa has appeared on 20/20, Dateline, FOX News, CNN, MSNBC and ESPN and has been featured in numerous publications including: USA Today, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, & New York Times. Known as The Running NutritionistTM, she is a competitive athlete with more than 34 marathons, the Ironman, and hundreds of races worldwide. Lisa has a private practice in Miami and New York City.

Health and nutrition writer Sandra J. Gordon is the author of the 8th, 9th, and 10th editions of Consumer Reports Best Baby Products. She contributes to numerous consumer magazines, including Fitness, Self, Redbook, Shape, Prevention, Ladies' Home Journal, Family Circle, Parents, Parenting, Child, and Vitality.
