About the Author:
Marcus H. Kokar was born on September 9, 1978 in his own home. Fifth child to a family of six children, he had a typical childhood but with a fascination of living in a world of his own; he fantasized and created a world where multiple storylines took place. While growing up, Marcus was thought to be like other kids and encouraged to follow the typical path of education and getting a job. Never considering other possibilities. That changed in 1999 when Marcus attended Northeastern University in Boston. It was a very different life full of excitement to look forward to, but he never expected the joy that could come from writing. A few months into his first year, while sitting with friends at the NU food court and watching them interact with each other, Marcus took a pen and napkin and just started to write an idea at first, and a few days later, a paragraph; then a chapter. A few years down the line, a very rough draft was completed, and so was his time at NU. He had graduated with a degree in finance, and although it encouraged an imagination in numbers, it was not much help when it came to fantasy. Marcus may not be like many writers; his ideas are the products of sequences of events that take place in his mind over long periods. When the first pages of the book were written, Marcus had no middle or end to it. The story evolved as he saw the characters act it out and depended less on how he wanted them to act it out not something easily explained. There were years when financial difficulties made it hard to live in a world of his own creation, so Marcus had to leave it behind; the day-to-day necessities took precedence. A few years down the line, a friend asked Marcus, Didn t you do some writing in college? What did you name your project? That question brought back a feeling of euphoria to Marcus. He remembered how he felt when he was in his own world and realized that he never named it. This was a sign, and to a degree, destiny in his mind. The foundation for a title was forged, and, of course, the tweaking upon tweaking that was to come.
