This book describes a rare breed of sheep viz Purgi reared at an altitude of 19000 feet from mean sea level in the cold arid region of Himalayas. Purgi is probably the most hardy breed of sheep which is able to survive at an extreme temperature of -50 degree Celsius. About the Author:
DR. Firdous. Ahmad. Baba is currently pursuing Ph.D. in college of Veterinary Sciences And Animal Husbandry SKUAST Kashmir. He did his B.V.Sc. in 2013 and M.V.Sc. in 2015. He is also a diploma holder in Agriclinics and agribusiness Centre for Agrientrepreneurship Development (CAD) of National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE).
