The modern agriculture requires precise information on various agro-climatic parameters like soil types, rainfall and temperature etc. and for optimum utilization of available land resources on the sustainable basis, timely and reliable information on soil regarding their nature, extent and spatial distribution along with their potentials and limitations is important. About the Author:
Dr. Ram Lakhan Ram did his M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science and Agri. Chemistry in the 2000 and Ph.D in 2012 from Banaras Hindu Univeristy, Varanasi. He has started his research career as Scientist-B in Central Silk Board, in 2010. He has published a dozen of research papers on characteristics and classification of soils of the various part of country.
