Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan. It is the largest industrial center and business hub of the country. It emerged from a small fishing village in 1729. About the Author:
Mr.Shamshad Akhtar was born in Karachi,Pakistan.He did his Ph.D in Geography in 2004 from Karachi University. He is Assistant Professor in Geography Department, Karachi University.Several of his research papers were published in various Journals. He is also author of books,on floodhazards in the Indus River Basin and Transhumance in Pakistan.
