In the more-than-150-year history of the photographic image, Zoltn Glass--one of the most well-known ''unknown'' photographers--stands among the very few in his profession who have succeeded in combining a surefooted sense of narrative with a sensibility for Cartier-Bresson's ''decisive moment,'' the exact moment for pressing the shutter. Zoltn Glass: Speed and Spirit features a selection of more than 100 race and car pictures--most of them previously unpublished--photographed by Glass on behalf of Daimler-Benz on the Berlin Avus, the Nurburgring, automobile fairs, studio shots done for advertising, or on the street. The images here are characterized by atmospheric density as well as situational humor and spontaneity, returning the viewer to the initial excitement of the automobile.

Book Description Hardcover. Condition: gut. Der Name dieses Fotografen müsste eigentlich zu den bekanntesten gehören.« Designes Digest / Speed and Spirit features a selection of more than 100 race and car pictures photographed by Zoltan Glass, most of them never previously published. Taken on behalf of Daimler-Benz, the subjects of his pictures include the Berlin Avus, the Nurburgring and automobile fairs, situated at the studio for advertising purposes, with the public, or on the street. The pictures are characterised by an atmospheric density as well as situational humour and spontaneity, taking the viewer back to the time of the legendary Silver Arrows. In englischer Sprache. 104 pages. 33,6 x 25,5 x 1,4 cm. Seller Inventory # BN12747
